CORSET Youth Operational Readiness Pilot

Prepare young people for environments where judgment matters.

CORSET Prep gives young people repeated, structured practice making decisions under constraint, responding to changing conditions, processing corrective feedback, and recovering when an initial plan does not work.

The full program runs for 32–36 weeks. Because the current academic year is already underway, organizations may also request an abbreviated nine-week pilot using selected curriculum components.

Practice, not presentation

Practice for the moments when plans change.

A young person may understand leadership, responsibility, perseverance, or problem-solving as concepts and still find it difficult to apply them when circumstances become demanding.

What happens when available resources are insufficient? When competing priorities must be ranked? When a promising opportunity becomes a distraction? When feedback reveals that a carefully considered approach was wrong?

CORSET Prep creates a controlled environment in which participants confront those conditions directly. They make decisions, experience consequences, receive corrective feedback, and decide what to do next.

The objective is not to eliminate failure. It is to make failure useful—to give young people the opportunity to practice judgment, adaptation, and recovery before those capabilities are tested in less forgiving environments.

Choose the right entry point

Two ways to participate this academic year.

CORSET Prep is built around sustained development. The appropriate format depends on when an organization begins and how much of the academic-year sequence remains available.

A developmental progression

Three environments. Increasing complexity.

CORSET Prep is organized as a three-stage developmental progression. Organizations do not need to determine the correct environment in advance. The appropriate recommendation depends on participant age, developmental readiness, program setting, and organizational goals.

Grades 7–9

The Foundry

Approximately Ages 12–14

The Foundry introduces participants to operational decision-making. Participants learn to identify constraints, weigh consequences, preserve future options, and act intelligently when circumstances create pressure.

Grade 10

The Catalyst

Approximately Ages 15–17

The Catalyst requires participants to direct limited resources toward selected outcomes. Participants test assumptions, distinguish meaningful opportunities from distractions, and adapt as conditions shift.

Grades 11–12

The Capstone

Approximately Ages 16 and Older

The Capstone places participants in complex, structured environments evaluated by a deterministic AI auditor. When an approach fails, the system measures Time-to-Recovery as the participant processes corrective feedback, revises the strategy, and executes a new plan.

Evidence over time

Built for sustained development.

CORSET Prep does not replace academic instruction, mentoring, leadership formation, service learning, character development, or workforce preparation. It provides a formal environment in which participants can apply and develop those capabilities.

  • Simulation telemetry
  • Decision and resource-management data
  • Responses to changing conditions
  • Corrective-feedback behavior
  • Evidence of strategy revision
  • Cryptographically verifiable evidence
  • Time-to-Recovery data for Capstone participants
  • A leadership-facing results brief

Designed for existing youth programs

Meet young people where they already learn.

CORSET Prep can complement the recurring structure of schools, districts, independent schools, Pathfinder programs, Boys & Girls Clubs, youth leadership organizations, mentoring programs, community organizations, workforce-readiness initiatives, and other youth-serving nonprofits.

Schools and Districts

Integrate CORSET Prep into advisory, leadership, student-agency, college-and-career-readiness, or student-development programming.

Youth Organizations

Extend lessons in responsibility, discipline, service, and leadership into structured operational practice.

Community Programs

Incorporate the pilot into recurring after-school, mentoring, academic-success, character-development, or enrichment programs.

Workforce Readiness

Help participants practice judgment, adaptation, accountability, and recovery before entering employment or postsecondary environments.
